Okay, so I essentially launched this blog for what may stand as two of the sillier reasons I've ever had for launching a blog: I wanted to have a blog under my name over here on my Blogger blogging platform, which I admittedly use a lot less than my WordPress blogging platform these days.
And, because I had one under my name on my WordPress blogging platform. Oh. Also because I have long been feeling like I needed to have an even number of blogs here on Blogger.
Up until I launched this blog, I had nine blogs here, and eleven blogs on WordPress. Granted, between the two platforms I had an even number of blogs (20 all together) and this blog officially makes #21...but still.
Now that I think about it, that actually makes for three of the sillier reasons I've ever had for launching a new blog.
Not that any of that actually matters, since so far pretty much no one reads my blogs except me. I have a couple friends who have read them, but I feel pretty sure no one else reads them other than me.
And I'm okay with that. This is my creative outlet, anyway. I truly only blog for myself. I do it to keep my writing skills from deteriorating, amongst other reasons.
If anyone should ever decide they want to know more about me as a person, right now I feel that taking time to read my blogs would be a fairly decent way to get to know me a little better. Since I put at least a small part of my heart and my soul into these blogs. Whether anyone ever actually reads them or not.
Made an interesting discovery, too: funny how many of my blogs here on Blogger seem to be obsessed with using dashes between each word.
I think part of that decision originally may have had to do with attempting to launch a blog or two that already seemed to exist somewhere in the Blogger universe. Because when I typed the blog names in, I was told they weren't available.
So, me throwing in all those dashes meant I got to use the blog name I really wanted to use. Problem here became that, with only one or two exceptions, all the blogs I launched here seem to be heavily dash-laden.
Except for this blog's URL. And on WordPress, I don't believe any of the blog URL's are dashed. I was able to get over that whole dashing thing over there.
But, it could also be that, quite possibly, it was simply more a matter of because the names I was coming up with over there were probably at very least a little more unique. Well, that's what I tell myself anyway, so there ya go. And there it is.
